I just don't get it! Why haven't the merchants of Warsaw come out screaming at the City of Warsaw for wanting to close their life line to businesses, CR Road 100 East.The message that is being sent to the people of the northeast is that the City of Warsaw does not care about them. They will only be inconvenienced a few miles, oh! and we will get over it. I think that those owners of businesses better let their mayor know that you are talking about cutting off a portion of their livelihood.
I have already heard that many of those who live in the northeast, if the road is closed, will choose other places to shop other than Warsaw who really doesn't care about our safety and money spent going out of our way.
Secondly, I can't believe that the city has the money to buy the land next to the airport and purchase a building in downtown. Where is Warsaw getting the money, are your taxes going up?
Any of you northeast people who are feeling a little the same way please attend a meeting, Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Armory. The city has a meeting on Monday the 13th at city hall at 7 p.m. to annex the property needed to extend the runway. If annexed the road will be closed.
