A 2014 elected officials salary ordinance was approved on first reading with all city employees including the mayor and clerk-treasurer receiving a $750 annual salary increase. The council voted to decline the $750 increase, and instead receive a $250 annual increase.
Councilman Jeff Grose voted against the $250 increase for city council members saying he felt there should be less of an increase.
Grose also informed the council there have been 20 deer taken so far during this year’s deer reduction efforts.
