Warsaw City Council approved cuts to the 2010 and 2011 budgets during a special meeting Thursday night at city hall.
Cuts from the 2010 and 2011 budgets total $768,950.
Total cuts in the 2011 budget total $277,950, and total cuts in the 2010 budget are $491,000.
For 2010, the council approved not cutting insurance or further reducing additional cuts that what were previously proposed.
In 2011, the council approved not cutting insurance, but reducing previously proposed cuts.
The council originally proposed cutting $364,950, but decided to cut the budget for 2011 to $277,950.
The council approved cuts to the 2011 budget including cutting $155,850 from the general fund; $39,300 from the park and recreation fund; a $9,000 cut from the cemetery fund; a $9,800 cut from the aviation fund; and a $64,000 cut from the fire territory fund.
Cuts in the 2010 budget include a $426,500 cut from the general fund; a $36,000 cut from the park and recreation fund; a $18,000 reduction from the cemetery fund; and a $10,500 cut from the aviation fund.
