Editor, Times-Union: Path to citizenship .... in political language that translates to “It’s time to pay for Obama’s votes and money he received.” Rather than take the legal path, and do what many other immigrants have done, these people broke the law and cross our borders into a sovereign country, that’s a crime. Rather than arrest and deport, we’re going to reward them with a path to citizenship. How is that fair to the rest of those that became American citizens the legal way? Oh, forgot they didn’t donate large sums of money and votes to the Democrats. How about some common sense here? They broke the law – period! Give them a period of time to get their affairs in order and leave with no arrest, after the period of time round them up and deport them back. We would see jobs open up and offer them to people receiving unemployment, and if they refuse the work, the unemployment stops. It’s a win-win for many. The politicians say there are too many to round up ... really? They rounded up Native Americans and the Japanese with none of the technology we have today. As with many other Americans, I welcome anyone coming here to make a better life for themselves, and we would be glad to help them. Right is right and wrong is wrong. Unless your in politics mixed with a liberal media then BS gets spin into ice cream with your favorite toppings and shoved down our throat cause it’s good for us! Mike Wood Warsaw, via e-mail
