Circles

Editor, Times-Union:

I am writing about a rather strange phenomenon in our back lawn and in our neighbors' front lawn. Our neighbor has had circles like these about four years, and we are in our first experience with them. I am on a walker and so do not walk in the grass much, although I would like to. So, my husband drove me past our neighbors' lawn where they have circles in their lawn quite near the road.

When our first circle arrived, my husband was quite curious about it, and then when we drove past our neighbor's and saw the circles in their lawn also. The circles are just grass, as the remainder of the lawn but a little darker in color.

When our first circle arrived, my husband was sure that when he mowed over it, it would be gone, but he was wrong, and since that time we now have one rather large circle and several smaller ones. I just spoke with our neighbor and he tells me they are now used to them.

We are both curious about the circles, and wonder if others have them, and we just have not seem them.
