SYRACUSE - Cindy Sue Kauffman, 54, of Syracuse, died at 7:24 a.m. Feb. 11, 2011, in Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born Jan. 3, 1957, in Goshen, to James E. and Carol A. Weldy Todd. On May 12, 2000, in Goshen, she married Donald E. Kauffman, who survives.
A lifetime Syracuse area resident, she attended Wawasee Community Schools. She formerly worked at McDonald's, Syracuse, and was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Syracuse.
Also surviving are a daughter, Tasha Thompson, Cromwell; a son, David (and spouse Jacqulin) Gibbs, Syracuse; four grandchildren; her mother, Carol Elder, Syracuse; three sisters: Vaunda (and spouse Scott) Huffer, Milford; Vicki (and spouse Michael) Whisman, Goshen; and Sherri Elder, Syracuse; and a brother, Christopher Elder, Syracuse. She was preceded in death by her father and a son, Adam Jonathon.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Calvary United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Herr officiating.
