Cinderella's Magic Carriage

Posted

Sarah Landrigan has never been able to go out trick-or-treating for Halloween because she has mitochondrial disease. That will change tonight thanks to family and friends at Sacred Heart School. During a school assembly, preschoolers showed off their costumes to the rest of the school. After Sarah’s class was done, teacher Cindy Hollowell took Sarah, dressed as Cinderella, in front of the school while her wheelchair went behind the big red curtain. She asked Sarah if she wanted to ride in a carriage for Halloween, which she did. After some magic words didn’t open the curtain, Sarah’s fairy godmother (her sister, Hannah Landrigan) joined Sarah on stage, said, ‘bippity boppity boo,’ and waved her magic wand. The curtain opened and there was Sarah’s wheelchair transformed into a carriage so Sarah could go trick-or-treating tonight. Pictured is Hannah checking out Sarah Landrigan’s magic carriage.
