Special Maundy Thursday Service At Evangelical Presby

The public is invited to Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church for a special Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. April 18.

The service will focus on Jesus’ sacrifice using the words of the Apostles Creed and selected Psalms. Communion will be served in remembrance of Christ's last supper with his disciples.

Child care will be available.

On Easter Sunday, April 21, the church will have services at 8:30 and 11 a.m. Between services, at 10 a.m., there will be a light breakfast and egg hunt for children through sixth grade. Everyone is welcome.



Holy Week Services Planned

At Trinity United Methodist

The Warsaw community is invited to a combined Holy Thursday service at Warsaw Trinity United Methodist Church.

The Maundy Thursday service will be at 7 p.m. April 18.

The church is planning a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. April 19.



‘Christ In The Passover’ Will Be Re-created Tuesday In Winona

WINONA LAKE — A re-creation of “Christ in the Passover” is planned for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Winona Lake Free Methodist Church, 902 College Ave.

Jesus' Last Supper was actually a Jewish Passover. Lisa S. Weisbaum of Jews for Jesus will re-create the traditional Passover service and explain how it foreshadowed Jesus' death and resurrection.

Weisbaum will set a table with items traditionally used at the Passover meal and detail their spiritual significance. She will also explain the connection between the events of the first Passover in Egypt and the redemption that Jesus accomplished, as well as the deep bond between the ancient Passover feast and the Christian communion celebration today.



St. Anne’s Plans Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday Services

St. Anne’s Episcopal Church will celebrate Palm Sunday at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Bishop Doug Sparks will be assisting in the mass. This will be the only service Sunday at the church.  

On April 18, the church will have a Maundy Thursday service. Mass will begin at 7 p.m. with foot washing and Holy Communion, followed by the Altar of Repose.  

St. Anne’s is at 424 W. Market St., Warsaw. Everyone is welcome to both services.

Easter Season Services At First Christian Church Announced

First Christian Church, 115 Park Ridge Drive, Warsaw, invites the community to its Easter season services and egg hunt.

The Palm Sunday service and egg hunt are planned for Sunday.

The worship service will begin at 9:30 a.m., and Sunday School is at 11 a.m. An egg hunt is planned for 1:15 p.m. on the church grounds for children age 1 through sixth grade. Registration with door prizes is planned.

On April 21, the Easter Sunday worship service will be at 9:30 a.m.

Craguns Family Quartet Will Be At Riverview On Sunday

TIPPECANOE — A gospel concert with the Craguns Family Quartet is planned for 6 p.m. Sunday at Riverview Community Church.

The quartet is composed of Jordan and Elena Cragun, Ray Cragun (Jordan's father) and Suzanne Cragun (sister). Jordan and Elena Cragun got their start in gospel music in Idaho, where Jordan toured for four years with the Boise-based Liberty Quartet. It was then that God led Jordan and Elena to minister together as a family.

The Cragun family is committed to effectively ministering the Gospel through song, says Riverview pastor Rod Ruberg.

Everyone is welcome to the concert. There is no ticket charge; a love offering will be collected for the Craguns.

Community Easter Egg Hunt Saturday At Worship Center

Warsaw Family Worship Center is planning a community Easter egg hunt for noon Saturday.

The church is at 1250 Husky Trail next to Martin’s Super Market.



‘Night Of Worship’ On Saturday Will Include Food Drive

Warsaw Family Worship Center will have a “Night of Worship” at 6 p.m. Saturday. The public is invited.

People are asked to bring nonperishable food items for local food pantries.

Game Night Is Saturday At Claypool United Methodist

CLAYPOOL — Claypool United Methodist Church will have game night at 6 p.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall.

Those who attend are asked to bring a snack.

The church has Sunday school at 9 a.m. The sermon for the 10:20 a.m. worship service is titled, "Whatever our circumstance, we have victory in Jesus.”

Free Community Meal Planned Tuesday At Sacred Heart

A community meal will be offered in the gymnasium at Sacred Heart Church from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

This month the church is serving an Easter meal featuring sliced baked ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce, dinner roll, fresh fruit and a variety of desserts.   

The dinner is provided and served by Sacred Heart parishioners.  There is no charge, and everyone is welcome.

‘Sonrise’ Worship April 21 At Otterbein United Methodist

ATWOOD – Otterbein United Methodist Church invites the community to a “Sonrise” worship service at 7 a.m. April 21 to celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.  

The Easter service is designed to give praise to God for sending His only Son Jesus to die on a cross for the sins of humanity and then defeat death by raising from the dead.  

Refreshments will follow the early service. The church’s  regular Sunday service will be at 9:30 a.m.

Otterbein United Methodist Plans Maundy Thursday Service

ATWOOD – Otterbein United Methodist Church invites the community to a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. April 18.

The special worship service is designed to help people prepare for Easter by going back to the time of the Last Supper and the Crucifixion. It will include washing feet (or hands), Holy Communion and the opportunity to give our sin to Jesus by writing it down and actually nailing it to the Cross.

Atwood Aldersgate Having Sunrise Service For Easter

ATWOOD – Atwood Aldersgate United Methodist Church invites the public to “come as you are” on Easter Sunday to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.

A sunrise service with Holy Communion will begin at 7:30 a.m. April 21, followed by breakfast at 8 a.m., then the worship service at 9 a.m.

The regular service time of 10:30 a.m. will return the following Sunday.

Winona Free Methodist To Study ‘God’s Prophetic Timetable’    

WINONA LAKE – Are we in the end times? What does Jesus want us to know? Why is the subject so neglected today?

An eight-part series, “God’s Prophetic Timetable,” will be led by Paul Campbell at Winona Lake Free Methodist Church, 902 College Ave., Winona Lake.

The series will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday.



Fish Fry Planned Saturday At Mount Tabor Church of God

ETNA GREEN – Mount Tabor Church of God is planning a fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

Cost is $10 for adults, $6 for children, and free for those 5 and younger. Carry-outs will be available.

An Amish bake sale is also planned.

Community Easter Egg Hunt Is Saturday At Harvest Community

PIERCETON – Harvest Community Church is planning a community Easter egg hunt.

The event will be at 11 a.m. Saturday.

The church is on Seventh Street in Pierceton.



Eggmazing Race Planned

April 20 In Leesburg

LEESBURG – Leesburg Grace Church is planning an Eggmazing Race on April 20.

Contestants in the Eggmazing Race will be given seven clues to find seven stations. Each station will award Easter candy to kids. A $250 gift card will be awarded to the team with the fastest time (not necessarily the first to finish).

Light refreshments will be provided.

The race begins at 3 p.m. at the church. Teams must be finished by 6 p.m. The gift card will be given shortly after 6 p.m.

People may enter the race as families, couples or individuals. Each team must provide its own vehicle.

The church is at 101 W. School St. in Leesburg.
