Mentone UMC To Hold Worship
MENTONE – Mentone United Methodist Church invites the community to join them for worship on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Worship in the Park has been canceled due to the cold temperatures. It will be an informal time of worship and fellowship followed by a carry-in lunch. Bring your favorite dish to share. Invite a friend, and do not miss the fun. There will be no Facebook live that Sunday so join them in person.
Feast & Fellowship is on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. Join them for a light meal, fellowship, singing, informal worship and teaching. All are welcome! Feast & Fellowship follows the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation calendar.
On Saturday, Chalk the Walk will be in front of the church from 10 a.m. to noon. Join them and share your creativity. From 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the MUMC Apron Ministry will hand out free hamburgers and bottled water at the farmers market.
They offer an early bird adult Sunday school class at 9 a.m. before worship service at 10:15 a.m. They are at 116 E. Main St., Mentone. To Hold Services
AKRON – There's a communitywide men's Bible study group meeting on Saturday mornings at Egg Town Coffee in Mentone. Men from several area churches are participating and all are welcome. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m.
On Sunday, worship at Beaver Dam Community Church, 9798 W. CR 1000S, Akron, is at 9 a.m. or 10:31 a.m. with coffee and refreshments served from 10 to 10:30 a.m. A church picnic is after the second service. Bring a dish to share and a lawn chair.
On Wednesday, the King's Kids program is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. with supper at 6 p.m. It is open to potty-trained 3-year-old through fifth grade.
On Oct. 3, the Clay Pigeon Shoot at the Harold's family range is at 1:30 p.m. All are invited.
Burket Bible To Hold Services
BURKET – Burket Bible Church welcomes everyone to its services. Sunday school starts at 9 a.m. and worship is at 10:15 a.m. The message this week by Pastor Mark Eastway is "Crowned With Glory and Honor" from Jeremiah 1:1-5.
There is a men's community Bible study each Saturday at Egg Town Coffee in Mentone. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and study starts at 9 a.m. The women's Bible study will meet Saturday at 9 a.m. at Egg Town Coffee.
Praise practice is Tuesday at 4 p.m. Lifewise classes will start at Burket Bible Church on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. The Burket Bible ladies will have a bake sale at the church on Oct. 3 at the same time of the Burket Fire Department fish fry.
Community Bible Announces Services
Community Bible Church, 3947 S. County Farm Road, Warsaw, announced its services for the week.
Sunday school starts at 9 a.m.
Sunday worship services are at 10:15 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The Wednesday prayer meeting and Bible study are at 6 p.m.
All are welcome to join them as they worship and study God's word.
Gospel Hill To Hold Homecoming Revival, Fish Fry
Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church, 303 S. Jefferson St., Silver Lake, will hold a homecoming revival Sept. 25-27 featuring Brother Danny Hess. The homecoming revival will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 25 and 26 and 10:30 a.m. Sept. 27. There will be no Sunday school or Sunday night service.
The church will also hold a fish fry from noon to 4 p.m. or until sold out Oct. 3.
Fish is $12 per pound. Baked beans will be $5 per pint. Potato salad is $5 per pint and macaroni salad is $5 per pint.

Quance To Continue Sermon Series
CLAYPOOL – The kids are wearing sweatshirts on their walk to Claypool United Methodist Church for SPARC on Thursdays.
Hopefully, people are ready to get into their fall routine by joining Claypool UMC on Sundays. Bible study for all ages starts at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Pastor Diane Quance conducts the worship hour starting at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. The children have junior church during her sermons. Music Director Keith Priser leads them with praise music. There’s always kids chat before the children go to junior church. Quance will continue her series on prayer Sunday. She’ll be explaining different styles of praying that can keep people’s prayer life growing, allowing God to speak to people in many new ways.
