Eastway To Present Message
BURKET – Burket Bible Church welcomes everyone to their services. Sunday school starts at 9 a.m. and worship is at 10:15 a.m. The message this week by Pastor Mark Eastway is "God and Country" from 1 Peter 2:13-17. They will celebrate Holy Communion.
There is a men's community Bible study each Saturday at Egg Town Coffee in Mentone. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m. The women's Bible study meets the second and fourth Saturdays at 9 a.m. at Egg Town Coffee.
Praise practice is Tuesday at 4 p.m.
Gamble To Present Message
MENTONE – The community is invited to Mentone United Methodist Church on Sunday for worship at 10:15 a.m. Vic Gamble will present the message. The scripture reading is James 5:1-6.
On Tuesday at 8:30 a.m., join the MUMC Friends for breakfast at Egg Town Coffee.
This year Mentone United Methodist Church is hosting a one-day Vacation Bible School July 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is a unique VBS in that it has been crafted locally with the needs of students in mind. The theme is Kindness is Cool. The morning will identify some big bad bullies in the Bible. The afternoon will be spent identifying characters of the Bible who are kind to others. Bible stories, skits, role playing, science, crafts, games and lunch will be a part of the day. Students finishing fifth and sixth grades will also participate in an escape room. Students finishing prekindergarten through those finishing sixth grade are invited. Registration can be done by using the link vbspro.events/p/mumcvbskindnessiscool2026. Rummage Sale Set For Friday And Saturday At Claypool UMC
CLAYPOOL – There’s a rummage sale in Claypool at 105 S. Church St. Friday and Saturday.
The doors are open at Claypool United Methodist church from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.
The proceeds will be used to buy school supplies for Claypool elementary students. The sale will resume on July 17 and 18 with the same hours. All Claypool elementary students are invited to a community picnic at Claypool UMC on Aug. 1 where they can pick up their needed school supplies.
They hope you can help them celebrate on Sunday for Bible study at 9:30 a.m. and worship 10:30 a.m. If you can’t join them watch on Facebook, (Claypool UMC,Indiana ) Pastor Diane Quance sermon is “Free from … Free to.” Quance brings forth for the learning. They will break bread together during worship.
The Women of Faith will meet at the church on Tuesday at 10 a.m. They will tour and lunch at the White’s Residential Family Services.
The administration council will meet on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
The mobile mammograph unit will be in the church parking lot Wednesday. It is free. Walk-ins are available to schedule an appointment. Call 260-483-1847.
The devotional group always welcomes anyone to join them on Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. The praise team will practice and plan on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
Community Bible Announces Services
Community Bible Church, 2947 S. County Farm Road, Warsaw, announced services times for this week.
Sunday services start with Sunday school at 9 a.m. Worship is at 10:15 a.m. There is no evening service this week.
Wednesday service is at 6 p.m.
On Thursday, there is a men's breakfast at 8:30 a.m. at Don Pablos. All are welcome to join them as they worship, fellowship and grow in discipleship to the Lord and Savior.
