Miller To Present Message
MENTONE – The community is invited to Mentone United Methodist Church on Sunday for worship at 10:15 a.m. Pastor Dana Miller will present the message “Mercy Without Exceptions.” The scripture reading is James 2:1-13.
The Apron Ministry will be giving away free coney dogs and water at the Mentone Farmers Market, North Morgan Street, across from the Big Egg, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Stop by and say hello.
The church council will meet Monday at 6 p.m.
This year Mentone United Methodist Church is hosting a one-day vacation Bible school July 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is a unique VBS in that it has been crafted locally with the needs of local students in mind. The theme is Kindness is Cool. The morning will identify some Big Bad Bullies in the Bible. The afternoon will be spent identifying characters of the Bible who are kind to others. Bible stories, skits, role playing, science, crafts, games and lunch will be a part of the day. Students finishing fifth and sixth grades will also participate in an Escape Room. Students finishing pre-kindergarten through those finishing sixth grade are invited. Registration can be done by using the link vbspro.events/p/mumcvbskindnessiscool2026. Beaver Dam Community Church
To Hold Events This Week
AKRON – There's a communitywide men's Bible study group meeting on Saturday mornings at Egg Town Coffee (formerly Java Jacks) in Mentone. Men from several area churches are participating and all are welcome. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m.
On Sunday, worship at Beaver Dam Community Church, 9798 W. CR 1000S, Akron, at 8 a.m. at Beaver Dam Lake boat launch (if raining a cancellation call will be made by 7:30 a.m.) or at 9:30 a.m. at church with coffee refreshments served from 9 to 9:30 a.m. The Dotsons will be singing at both services.
From June 15 to 19, vacation Bible study is from 9 to 11:30 a.m. daily.

Eastway To Present Message
BURKET – Burket Bible Church welcomes everyone to its services. Sunday school starts at 9 a.m. and worship is at 10:15 a.m. The message this week by Pastor Mark Eastway is "Time Waits for No Man" from Ecclesiates 12:1, 5-7.
There is a men's community Bible study each Saturday at Egg Town Coffee in Mentone. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. study starts at 9 a.m. The women's Bible study will meet Saturday at 9 a.m. at Egg Town Coffee.
Praise practice is Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Quance To Present Message
CLAYPOOL – Claypool United Methodist Church hopes you plan to join them Sunday at 105 S. Church St. Bible study for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m. then they meet for fellowship at 10:10 a.m. The sanctuary becomes a gathering place for all to hear what Pastor Diane Quance has to say about what the kingdom of God is. Is it now? Is it coming? Where do we find it?
The children have a chat with Pastor Quance before they attend kids church during the sermon. You can livestream the worship on Facebook at Claypool UMC, Indiana.
On Monday, the doors to the Jungle Safari will open to where faith grows wild. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the children will continue to explore the wonders of God‘s creation through fun, adventures, games, music, crafts, Bible stories and new friendships.
The devotional group will meet on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. The praise team will plan and practice at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Community Bible Announces Services
Community Bible Church, 2947 S. County Farm Road, Warsaw, announces services for this week.
Sunday services start with Sunday school at 9 a.m. Worship services will be at 10:15 a.m. and 6 p.m. This Sunday begins a new sermon series on the Book of Esther.
At 6 p.m. Wednesday is prayer and Bible study.

Peters To Speak At Gospel Hill
SILVER LAKE – Brother Darrel Peters will be guest preacher at Gospel Hill, 303 S. Jefferson St., Silver Lake, at 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday.
