Christine A. Simons, 51, died at 3:27 p.m. June 13, 2011, in her Marion home. She was born Sept. 24, 1959, in Warsaw, to Robert Lee and Carol Elaine Atchinson Nine. Formerly of Warsaw, she ran a stamping press for Gatke Corp. She was a 1977 graduate of Warsaw High School; was a member of the Marion Moose Lodge; and a former member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 49. Surviving are a son, Tye Douglas Evans; a brother, Robert “Bobby” Nine Jr., a sister, Coleen (and spouse Bill) Blair; her mother, Carol Elaine Nine; and a grandson, Shawn Douglas Evans, all of Warsaw; her former husband, Mitch Simons, and special friend, Donnie Stogdill, both of Marion. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Nine, and a brother, Ray Owen Nine. Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Ken Locke, Salvation Army, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, at a later date. Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
