FORT WAYNE — Christine A. Ohler, 65, Claypool, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital. Born in Fort Wayne, Christine was the daughter of Harold and Patricia Ohler, who survive. Christine graduated from North Side High School. She was the owner of Tasty Pizza in North Manchester for many years. She was a chef at Oakwood Inn in Syracuse, and the head cook with Warsaw Community Schools during her working career. Christine was an avid birdwatcher. She also enjoyed animals, gardening, cooking, country music and watching NASCAR, especially Jimmy Johnson. Surviving are her husband, Scott Plank, Claypool; children, Stephanie Hood, South Whitley, and William (Kristina King) Hood, Leesburg; siblings: Cathy Howard and Dan Ohler, both of Fort Wayne, and David (Tamara) Ohler, Radcliff, Ky.; grandchildren: Brandon (Whitney) Carpenter, Amanda Hood, Tyler Ratliff, Ethan Ratliff and Madilyn Hood; and great-grandchildren, Benson and soon-to-be Willow. The service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 28, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, with Pastor Ralph Klinker officiating.
