Christine A. ‘Chris’ HenchChristine A. “Chris” Hench, 54, of Warsaw, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne while surrounded by her loving family.
Chris was born Feb. 23, 1965, in Carlisle, Pa., to Terry and Martha Bender Paxton. She married Dennis “Smurf” Hench on June 27, 1987; he survives.
Chris was a sweet, kind and caring person. She had an unconditional love for people and was always willing to help in any way she could. Chris had a way to see the positive side of most situations, always seeming to be happy and had a contagious smile. She loved her family like no other. She attended Pathway Church in Warsaw, was a cook for Richard’s Restaurant and enjoyed reading and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Dennis; two children, Athena (Gene) Boes, of Mentone; and Daniel Hench, of Quantico, Va.; five grandchildren: Gavin Hench, Rebekah Rudiesel, Judy Laramore, Joel Rudiesel, Odin Boes; and a brother, Thomas Paxton, of Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Amanda Hench; and a sister, Linda Sanchez.
A funeral service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26 at Pathway Church, 2402 W. Old 30, Warsaw. Pastor Jarod Osborne will officiate the service.
Friends and family will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the church.
