Christian Artist Steven Curtis Chapman Coming To Wagon Wheel For One Night Only

Posted
Steven Curtis Chapman will be appearing at the Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts to perform a mixture of his number one hits and songs from his newest – and 18th – album, “The Glorious Unfolding.”
The certified platinum recording artist will be here for one night only, Sept. 26, according to a press release from the Wagon Wheel.
Chapman released his first album in 1987 and has since gone on to sell over 11 million copies in addition to having nearly 50 No. 1 Christian radio hits.
“I’m very, very grateful to be given the opportunity to make music and share the things that I feel like God has entrusted to me,” Chapman is quoted as saying in the press release.
When he isn’t making music, Chapman, the recipient of an honorary doctorate of music from nearby Anderson University, is busy doing philanthropic work.
About “The Glorious Unfolding,” he said, “Musically, I really wanted to find those ways to make something that felt very honest and true, and yet very fresh and relevant. I felt like this had to be a little bit more exciting and energetic, and I was ready to crank it up. It felt like this is the time to do that and celebrate. With this music, you will hopefully hear that and get a sense of the excitement and joy in this record.”
From one Anderson graduate to another, local singer/songwriter Nick Stanton takes the stage as opener for Chapman.  Stanton, who is currently the worship leader at Warsaw Community Church, opened for Christian recording artists Sanctus Real at the Wagon Wheel back in 2012.  Stanton will perform original songs from his latest album, “Set My Sail.”
Chapman will perform at two times Sept. 26, at 6 and 8:30 p.m.
Tickets are $45 with a $3 processing fee, and are available through the Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts box office or online at wagonwheelcenter.org.
The concert is presented by SYM Financial Advisors.
