WABASH - WWKI welcomes Chris Young when he arrives in Wabash at the Honeywell Center Aug. 26 at 7 p.m.
Young is quickly distinguishing himself as a newcomer who honors country music's traditions while adding a fresh new chapter to the genre's legacy. With his baritone voice and habit of writing slice-of-life songs like "The Man I Want to Be," "Drinkin' Me Lonely" and "Voices", Young's music has a way of striking a familiar chord in everyone.
Chris Young was country music's best-selling new male artist of 2006. His sophomore project "The Man I Want to Be", featuring his current smash single "Gettin' You Home," is an album that showcases a new traditionalist poised to take his place among his musical heroes. Tickets are $15, $22 and $26, and may be purchased at the box office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, by calling 260-563-1102 or visiting www.honeywellcenter.org
