At 12:42 p.m. Sunday the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department received a call about an attempted kidnapping in Cromwell.
KCSD Public Information Officer Sgt.Chad Hill stated that the attempted kidnapping was not reported immediately and investigators are still looking into the situation.
Hill did say that there were two children, an 11-year-old and a 12-year-old, walking home from the pool when a beige or tan Trailblazer tried to run them off the road. Afterwards the vehicle came back and tried to abduct the 11-year-old child, but he was able to run away.
The child informed KCSD detectives that the man looked to be in his 40’s or 50’s, with white hair, white mustache, white shirt, black vest and blue pants. He also informed detectives he had never seen the vehicle or the man.
KCSD detectives are looking for more information on this situation. Anyone who has information can call 574-457-5757.
