Chester Scott Craig

Chester Scott Craig, 83, of Warsaw, passed away at 10:30 a.m.  June 14, 2013, in his residence.
On April 20, 1930, he was born in Pierceton, to LeRoy and Beatrice Horne Craig. On Oct. 23, 1960, he married Dorothy June Hunter, who died Nov. 25, 2009.
A lifetime resident of Warsaw, he retired after more than 50 years in the trucking industry. He was a Korean War veteran and a lifetime member of American Legion Post 258, Pierceton, where he held offices of post commander, adjunct and member. He also was  a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Moose Lodge. He was fond of fishing and his grandchildren.
Surviving are five children: Kenneth E. Craig, Victoria R. Reiter and Davis S. Craig, all of Warsaw; Priscilla M. King, Wabash; and Larry W. Craig, Washington; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two nephews, John L. and Terry W. Craig, both of Warsaw. He also was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton, with Pastor Bert Pauluhn officiating and military honors by members of American Legion Post 258, Pierceton. No calling is planned.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
