MILFORD - Chester L. Albert, 83, of Leesburg, died Dec. 6, 2010, in Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care.

He was born Oct. 20, 1927, in La Paz, to Garland and Goldie Kimble Albert. On Dec. 21, 1947, he married Gloria Jean Fisher, who survives.

He moved to the Leesburg area from Edwardsburg, Mich., in 1963. He was a farmer and a truck driver for Clunette Elevator. He was a member of Clunette United Methodist Church; Moose Lodge 1423, Warsaw; the Michigan Horse Pulling Association; and the Michigan Horse Pulling Dynamometer. He was a past member of the Marshall County Sheriff Posy and the La Paz volunteer fire department.

Also surviving are a son, Rick (and spouse Libby) Albert, Warsaw; two daughters, Paula (and spouse s may be sent via www.mishlerfuneralhomes.comRoger) Miller, North Webster, and Lorraine (and spouse John Jr.) Anglin, Warsaw; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Louis and Larry Albert, both of La Paz; and a sister, Luella Staner, Redlion, Pa. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Jeremiah Anglin.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mishler Funeral Home, 461 W. CR 900N, Milford, with Pastor Mike Beezley officiating. Burial will be in Stony Point Cemetery.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
