Chester Devon ‘Chet’ ElderSYRACUSE – Chester Devon “Chet” Elder, 90, Syracuse, died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021, at his home.
He was born Aug. 18, 1931, in Ora, to Doyle Devon and Fern Leona Freet Elder.
He was married July 3, 2001, in Las Vegas, Nev., to Sandra K. “Sandy” Weldy Smith, who survives.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 18 at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse. Memorial services will follow at noon Saturday, Dec. 18 in the funeral home with Chaplain Lois Tomayo officiating. Private family burial will take place in the Lerch Cemetery near Knox at a later date.
