On Feb. 21, the chess teams from Madison Elementary School and Edgewood Middle School traveled to Goshen to compete in the team chess tournament. Both the Madison K-3 and 4-6 grade teams finished in second place in their divisions. The K-3 team members include Benjamin Bolduc, Abby Rucoi, Chase Byron and Eli Holder. The 4-6 team members include Corbin Sloan, Samuel Bolduc, Noah Pollnow and Gage Cutler. The Edgewood Middle School team of Alek Jansen, Louis Bolduc, James Wynn and Ian Sloan earned first place in the middle school division and first place overall after beating the two top high school teams as well.
