She was born May 9, 1957, in Columbia City, to Gale and Virginia Conley LaRue. She married Dan Borem on Aug. 14, 1982; he survives.
Cheryl was a 1975 graduate of Whitko High School and briefly attended Ball State University. She went on to work for Kimble Glass before her retirement.
She enjoyed cooking and helping people however she could. She loved her cockatiels and providing Paws and Claws with her babies for several years. Cheryl enjoyed castles and got to spend time in Germany with her husband and toured many of them throughout the country. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her husband Dan.
Cheryl is survived by her husband of 35 years, Dan, Mentone; daughter, Emily (Ryan) Harmon, Madison; and three grandchildren: James, Bryce and Xander. Also surviving are a sister, Lisa (Butch) Johnston, Warsaw; a brother, Scott (Marla) LaRue, Pierceton; and several nieces and nephews.
Cheryl’s wishes were for services to be private.
Arrangements were entrusted to Heritage Funeral and Cremation Services, Warsaw.
