Chase Logan Higgins, Winona Lake, passed away unexpectedly at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, in Warsaw, at the age of 32.
He was born Oct. 25, 1985, in Goshen, to Rebecca A. McCall Burger and Patrick Higgins.
Chase graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 2004 and was a 2009 graduate of Grace College in Winona Lake. He was studying pharmacology at Manchester University.
Chase was an avid reader, a lover of music, sailing and travel, who was deeply interested in cooking and at home in nature. Chase was a loyal friend, always ready to offer heartfelt counsel and a listening ear. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Rebecca Burger, Winona Lake; his father, Patrick Higgins, Chapman Lake, Warsaw; brother, Zach Burger, Muncie; and sister, Kayla (husband Evan) Readle, Warsaw. Also surviving are his grandmother, Betty Higgins, Chapman Lake, Warsaw; and his uncle and aunt, Mike and Sue McCall, Goshen.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, at Warsaw Community Church, 1855 S. County Farm Road, Warsaw. His funeral service will follow immediately at 3 p.m. at the church, officiated by Pastor Denny Wilson.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, at West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen.
