A Friday police chase ended with a single-vehicle crash and the discovery of illegal drugs.

Around 11:14 p.m. Friday, a Kosciusko County Sheriff's deputy attempted to stop a 1989 Ford Mustang for speeding when the driver of the vehicle, Ricky Johnson, 25, Cromwell, tried to escape. Johnson reportedly sped down Hatchery Road near the Department of Natural Resources post and led police on a high-speed chase before losing control and crashing into trees, landing in a ditch on CR 1000N.

After the crash, Johnson allegedly tried to run from the scene, but was stopped by officers.

Two passengers in the vehicle, Marcie Ducheteau, 23, and Aaron Snyder, 19, were thrown from the vehicle.

Ducheteau, Snyder and Johnson were taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital.

Police allegedly found illegal drugs and paraphernalia in the car after the crash, and Johnson reportedly was driving without a license.

The accident remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.
