FORT WAYNE — Charlotte Zollinger, 88, passed away Aug, 22, 2017, at Bethlehem Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was born Aug. 20, 1929, in Osborne, Ohio, to Forrest V. and Myrtle M. Weaver LeCount. She graduated from Syracuse High School in 1947 and married Robert R. Zollinger in 1948.
Charlotte was a versatile and vibrant person, engaging in numerous occupations, including telephone operator, bank teller, medical office receptionist and media clerk at Goshen College. She was also a devoted wife and mother who loved to travel.
Surviving are son, Robert A. (Jeanette) Zollinger, and sister, Priscilla (Charles) Garner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Brenda Lynn Zollinger; sister, Maxine Sweet; brothers, Luther and Forrest LeCount; and family dogs Jay, Jaque, Holly, Rosa Jean and Louie.
Cremation will take place, and a graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, at Syracuse Cemetery.
