Charlotte Sue Amburgy, 50, South Whitley, passed away at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 13, 2015, at her residence surrounded by family.
She was born April 24, 1965, in Warsaw, to Ronald Dewayne and Myrtle Marie Tackett Heeter. On Feb. 12, 1983, she married Phillip Amburgy; together they had three children before they divorced in 2008.
She attended Warsaw Community High School. She was a hard worker throughout her life. She had worked as a powder coater at Winona Powder Coating Inc., Mentone, for many years. She also worked in quality control for Little Crow Foods, Warsaw, until the plant closed.
In her 50 years she was a sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her family.
Surviving are a son, Phillip (and wife Amee) Amburgy Jr., Rochester; two daughters, Alicia Gibbs (and partner Jessika Greene), Rochester; and Misty (and spouse Jeremy) Garrett, Warsaw; her significant other, Fred Prater, South Whitley; four brothers: Jim Heeter, Warsaw; Donald Heeter and Melvin (and spouse Wendy) Heeter, all of Palestine; and Ronald (and spouse Kris) Heeter Jr., South Whitley; five sisters: Joan Evans, Warsaw; Rhonda (and spouse Bob) Utter, Talma; Cheryl Pitts (and fiancé John Rhoads), Palestine; Vickie (and spouse Mark) Holloway and Loretta (and spouse Shawn) Carpenter, all of Warsaw; and five grandchildren: Dakota, Mikaylynn and Ramey Gibbs, Khloe Harris and Mattix Garrett, all of Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Charlie Trout and Dave and Angela Tackett officiating. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
