The Lake Tippecanoe Property Owners has announced the theme of the 2013 flotilla. This year’s theme is “It’s a Charlie Brown 4th of July.” Dan Drook, chairman of the flotilla committee, commented that Charlie Brown is a cartoon icon, and the cast of characters in the “Peanuts” strip will allow flotilla participants to design their float not only around Charlie Brown but possibly Snoopy, Lucy, Pig Pen or another “Peanuts” character. The flotilla will be launched from the Patona Bay Beach Resort July 6 at 1 p.m. and return at approximately 2 p.m. when the winners will be presented their cash prizes. The Patona Bay Resort is located on the west side of Tippecanoe Lake. Spectators can watch the flotilla begin and end at the Patona Bay Resort.
