NORTH WEBSTER - Charles W. "Chuck" Warner Sr., 76, of North Manchester, died at 9:25 p.m. March 8, 2010, in his residence.
He was born Jan. 16, 1934, in Boston, Mass., to Willard C. and Catherine C. Sullivan Warner. On Nov. 13, 1955, he married Catherine "Betty" Kahlenbeck, who survives.
He was a purchasing manager for Corning Glass and Honeywell Corp., both in Massachusetts, and General Tire, Wabash. Later he was president of Yards-of-Fun, North Manchester, and recently was manager of Fellowship Apartments, North Manchester. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in the Korean War. He was a member of St. Robert's Catholic Church, Moose and Eagles lodges and American Legion Post 286, all in North Manchester. He graduated from High School of Commerce and Northeastern University, both in Boston.
Surviving are a son, Charles W. Jr. (and spouse Kellie) Warner, Warsaw; three daughters, Deborah (and spouse Timothy) Willis, Westville, and Cindy (and spouse Mark) Hobbs and Cathy (and spouse Rick) Price, all of North Manchester; a brother, James Warner, Holbrook, Mass.; four sisters: Ruth Horgan, Boston; Catherine Levy, Burlington, Mass.; Ann Marie Maniscolco, Medford, Mass.; and Teresa Craven, New Jersey; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
A private graveside service will be at Fairview Cemetery, Servia, with Father Thomas Kodakassery officiating.
