Charles Robert Hite, 65, passed away at 8:34 a.m. Monday, May 8, at St. Joe Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.

Charles was born Aug. 8, 1951, in Warsaw, to Harold and Mable Luse Hite. On Oct. 13, 1979, he was married to Julia A. Utter in Warsaw. They would share 30 years together before her passing on April 12, 2010.

Originally from Warsaw, Charles worked as a machine operator at Warsaw Chemical before moving to Plymouth, where he spent the past 17 years. In addition to spending time with his family, he loved NASCAR.

Those who survive include two sisters, Shirley (Boyd) Poe, Claypool, and Joyce D. Tran, Mentone; an aunt, Marie Masterson, Plymouth; four nephews; two nieces; two stepdaughters; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Julia A. Hite; brother, Leroy Hite; sister, Janet L. Dawson; and niece, Sheila Poe.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 15, in Oakwood Cemetery. Pastor William Whitaker of Warsaw Family Worship Center will officiate.
