SYRACUSE – Charles Leon White, 85, of Syracuse, passed away April 19, 2012, in Leesburg.
He was born Dec. 23, 1926, in North Webster, to George and Zoa Scott White. On July 28, 1945, in Little Rock, Ark., he married Jo Ann Caskey, who died in 2011.
He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. A lifelong area resident, he owned and operated Whites Farms until retiring in 2005. He was a 65-year member of North Webster American Legion.
Surviving are three daughters, Tol Lee Given, Kyle, Texas; Jerri Harper (and Jeff Stratman), Syracuse; and Jill (and spouse Charlie) Baker, Leesburg; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. He also was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Services will be at noon Wednesday at Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458 E. CR 1000N, Syracuse. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery with full military honors.
