Charles L. Long, 58, Etna Green, died at 6:56 p.m. Nov. 15, 2014, at his residence.
He was born April 17, 1956, in Warsaw, to Daniel G. and Evelyn Unruh Long.
He was a 1975 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, and he studied agriculture business for eight weeks at Purdue University.
He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. He was a farmer and worked for Lear Corp., Bourbon. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Church of God, and an avid Amish transporter. He was a member of 4-H Alumni, Kosciusko County Cattlemen’s Association, Indiana Cattlemen’s Association, Limousin Cattlemen’s Foundation, Triton FFA Supporter, and he was a longtime member of Warsaw Square Dance Club.
Surviving are two sons, Aaron and Nathan Long, both of Etna Green; two grandchildren, Jayden and Liam Long, at home; and his mother, Evelyn Sechrist, Etna Green. He was preceded in death by his father, who died July 12, 1985.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mt. Tabor Church of God, Nappanee, with Pastor Jeremy Gruser of the church officiating. Burial is in Stony Point, Atwood.
Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, is entrusted with arrangements.
