SYRACUSE - Charles F. "Chick" Lemberg, 64, of Cromwell, died at 5:40 a.m. Oct. 16, 2010, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born April 8, 1946, in Chicago, Ill., to Harry J. Jr. and Janet M. Hutchinson Lemberg. On June 19, 1971, in Marshfield, Wis., he married Cynthia L. "Cindy" Hartnett, who survives.
He graduated from Carl Sandburg High School, Orland Park, Ill., in 1965, and attended American Institute of Baking, Chicago. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He moved to Syracuse from Marshfield in 1972, and was a chef for the Beacon Restaurant, Syracuse, for 30 years. He attended Wawasee Lakeside Chapel, Syracuse.
Also surviving are a daughter, Michelle (and spouse Andy) Temple, Fort Wayne; a son, Timothy (and spouse Elaine) Lemberg, Syracuse; three grandchildren; five brothers: Richard "Rick" (and spouse Cathy) Lemberg, Syracuse; Harry (and spouse Patty) Lemberg III, Columbus, Ohio; James (and spouse Georgia) Lemberg and Brian (and spouse Laurie) Lemberg, all of Fort Wayne; and Dennis Lemberg, North Webster. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with the Rev. Harlan Steffen officiating.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
