Charges are pending against a 15-year-old Syracuse girl after police received new information about a Wednesday accident.

Haley P. Plikerd, 15, of Syracuse, came forward as the driver of the vehicle that left the roadway and rolled several times on West CR 700N.

She and four other teen-agers were injured in the accident.

According to Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department Sgt.Chad Hill, all of the teens agreed to cover up for Plikerd because she didn't have a driver's license. She likely will be charged with a learner permit violation, Hill said.

Originally, Matthew J. Miller, 16, of Milford, admitted to being the driver of the car registered to his father's business.

All of the occupants of the car were wearing seat belts when the accident occurred and all suffered minor injuries.
