Charges may be filed by the end of the week in the recent death of an 11-month-old, Kosciusko County Prosecutor David Kolbe reports.
Kolbe said in his press conference Tuesday that the toxicology investigation into the death of Lois Marie Ozenbaugh, North Blacks Street, North Webster, would be released by the end of the week.
An autopsy investigation into the child's death revealed she had ingested six cigarettes.
"The case investigation is complete, but for the toxicology reports," said Kolbe.
Kolbe said that he anticipates a criminal charge will be filed unless the report indicates that the nicotine in combination with some sort of congenital defects contributed to the child's death.
