WABASH – The trial for a South Whitley woman charged with murder has been delayed until February in Wabash Circuit Court.
Tiffany Chapman-Lane, 33, South Whitley, was scheduled to face a jury trial in late September.
On Wednesday, her attorneys moved for the delay, which was granted by Judge Robert McCallen.
The trial is scheduled to begin Feb. 19 and last four days.
Police say Chapman-Lane went to a North Manchester home on 5th Street May 25 and shot and killed her ex-husband, Jacob Chapman. Police say Jacob had several gunshot wounds.
Sarah Chapman, Jacob’s wife, also was shot in the assault but survived.
Chapman-Lane faces charges of murder, attempted murder, aggravated battery and carrying a handgun without a license.
