An estimated $20,000 to $30,000 in damage was reported in a Saturday morning fire on Chapman Lake. Leesburg firefighters responded to the 11:38 a.m. call to the Neal Johnson residence at 2079 Chapman Lake Drive and arrived to heavy smoke rising from the home, as well as flames coming from a window of the cottage. Firefighters, who were on the scene for about two hours, were able to pump water from the lake to aid in extinguishing the blaze. The fire is believed to have started in a bedroom because of a possible electrical problem. Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
