The Education Committee of the Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce held a "welcome" luncheon for new educators throughout the county. Sixty new educators, along with school superintendents and committee members, attended from schools around Kosciusko County. This number reflects a significant increase in new hires from the previous years. The attending new educators enjoyed the lunch at 2517 and the time to network with their fellow teachers before the school year began. Short presentations were made by Greg Moeller of Teachers Credit Union, who co-sponsored the event with Zimmer; Mark Dobson, president of the Chamber; Mary Kittrell, Kosciusko Convention and Visitors Bureau; Brent Wilcoxson, The Village at Winona; Brad Bishop, OrthoWorx, representing the orthopedic community in the county; and Monica Lyon, United Way, representing the Young Adult Professionals organization. Goodie bags full of information and an assortment of gifts from several Chamber member companies were given to each attendee to welcome them to the community.
