Chamber Presents Community Impact AwardsIn recognition of their efforts to keep the community safe and informed during the pandemic, the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce presented three Community Impact awards to deserving individuals.

Kurt Carlson, CEO of Bowen Center, was awarded for his leadership in opening the free COVID testing site at Bowen, which later moved to the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds, according to a news release from the Chamber.

Dr. William Remington was awarded for his voice, calmness, expertise and knowledge that has been so critical and helpful in informing the community about the pandemic, the release states.

Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer was awarded for bringing the community together during this time and hosting weekly chats featuring key leaders who were able to keep the community updated on the pandemic, according to the Chamber’s news release.

Additionally, there will be a plaque displayed at the Chamber office honoring all Kosciusko County healthcare workers and first responders for their dedication and care for the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
