The Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce will host its first annual Student Market on Sunday, July 20 from 12 to 4 p.m. at The Barn 1880 Historic Venue, 2076 N. 100 E, Warsaw.
This inaugural event aims to spotlight the creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit of local students by providing a platform for young vendors to showcase and sell their handmade goods, artwork, crafts, baked items and other original products, according to a provided news release. The Student Market will feature a diverse mix of booths run entirely by students from around the county, ranging from elementary through college age, each offering unique, locally made items that reflect their interests, talents and hard work.
This event is more than just a market, it is a celebration of youth entrepreneurship and a hands-on learning experience that encourages financial literacy, business planning, customer service and marketing skills, the release states. The Chamber believes in nurturing future leaders and small business owners, and the Student Market reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting educational and economic development within the community.
"The Student Market is a reflection of the incredible talent and drive we see in our local youth," said Lauren Twombly, director of marketing and communications at the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce. "We’re proud to provide a platform where young entrepreneurs can bring their ideas to life, gain real-world experience and feel the support of their community. This event is about more than just selling products, it’s about inspiring confidence, creativity and the next generation of business leaders in Kosciusko County."
Families, friends and community members are invited to come out and support these aspiring young entrepreneurs and their businesses. The Barn 1880 Historic Venue offers a beautiful and welcoming backdrop for the market, combining rustic charm with a family-friendly atmosphere, according to the release. Admission is free and open to the public.
The Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce invites everyone to attend this exciting new event.
