The Chain-O-Lakes Barbershop Chorus will present its annual show Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center. This year’s show is titled “A Star-Spangled Salute to Veterans.” Joining the men’s a cappella chorus will be the combined bands from The Lake Area Community Band and The Grace College Community Wind Ensemble under the direction of Martin Baker, as well as the Manchester Civic Band directed by Reg Smith. The combined concert bands will perform several patriotic selections from composers including John Philip Sousa and Glen Miller. Also performing will be three barbershop quartets; The Chain Gang, 4-O’Clock Shadow and Old Spice. The chorus will perform several of America’s most beloved patriotic tunes including “You’re a Grand Old Flag,” “This is My Country” and “God Bless America” as well as a special medley of the United States Armed Forces hymns. Chain-O-Lakes Chorus Director Jay Heare stated, “This program will be a real honor for us to perform, as we dedicate the entire show to our nation’s veterans. We are proud to be Americans and we are especially proud of the men and woman who have served, and are serving our country to preserve the freedoms we enjoy. This is our chance to celebrate with them and say, ‘Thank you!’” Doors open at 2 p.m. and the show will begin at 2:30 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door. Adult tickets are $10 and student tickets are $5. Preschool children age 5 and under are free.
