Warsaw Board of Public Works and Safety Friday approved a building addition to be built at Oakwood Cemetery.
Jones Custom Renovation will build a 40-foot by 40-foot addition to cemetery sexton Hal Heagy's existing shop for $38,299.18, the lowest bid of three bids.
The building will store seasonal equipment. Plans are also in the future to include a break room for cemetery employees in the building.
The board reviewed three bids Friday for the construction of the addition from Jones Custom Renovation LLC, Ideal Construction Co. and Miller Construction.
During Monday night's Warsaw City Council meeting, the council approved to transfer $45,000 from the cemetery's permanent land fund into the permanent building fund.
The board also:- Approved a request from Warsaw Municipal Airport to purchase a sprayer unit for improving de-icing capabilities and effectiveness for the airport runway. The total cost is $17,010 and will be taken from the aviation depreciation machinery and equipment budget.
- Tabled a contract between Warsaw and the City-County Athletic Complex for $31,000 for services CCAC provides to the city.
