Oakwood Cemetery Board of Regents discussed several projects at the cemetery during Thursday's meeting.
Cemetery Sexton Hal Heagy informed the board there were 32 burials in July. There were 16 deeds signed during the meeting.
He said there were 24 foundations and 12 government foundations poured at the cemetery in July.
He said cemetery employees are going to start on constructing a new road in the cemetery, and are waiting on engineer Larry Long to provide an estimate for the project. Street Superintendent Lacy Francis has agreed to help with preparing the ground to receive asphalt, Heagy said.
Heagy also informed board members the department is getting bids for the department to purchase a new dump truck.
Board members are President Warren Tatter, Lewis Dobbins and Bob Sandy.
