Oakwood Cemetery Board of Regents met Thursday. Hal Heagy, cemetery sexton, said cemetery employees are preparing plows for winter. There were 107 loads of leaves taken out of the cemetery. Heagy said he will talk to Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer about possibly raising burial lot prices. Heagy said burial lot prices were last raised in 2007. Heagy said an 85-foot oak tree got hit by lightning, and he will discuss cutting it down with a Fort Wayne company. There have been 225 burials so far in 2012. The board signed six burial deeds, and heard there were two deed transfers, 19 burials in November and seven lots were sold.
