The first family showed up at the Kosciusko County Community Fairgrounds at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday for Combined Community Services’ Tools For School. The school supply giveaway is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. CCS Executive Director Steve Possell said there are school supplies at the CCS office if a Kosciusko family was unable to make the event today, they just need to come by and pick them up. Besides the school supplies, educational and religious organizations had tables set up at the event to provide information to families on services they offer. Warsaw Community Schools Nutrition Services provided breakfast to the kids, while Fiesta Hair Salon provided free haircuts (pictured). Kids could get their face painted, too. Possell said CCS likes to help kids start the school year on equal footing.
