CCS’ Glass Slipper Event Returns

Posted
CCS’ Glass Slipper Event ReturnsProm, a milestone tradition for high school students, is coming soon and young women in the community are preparing by choosing dresses and paying for hair, makeup and nail services.

While a long-time tradition, prom is also one of the most expensive occasions of high school and would not be possible for some without the Glass Slipper, according to a news release from Combined Community Services.

Now, in its 15th year, the Glass Slipper event allows young women the opportunity to receive a prom dress, shoes, jewelry and even some beauty services or a meal for two.

CCS is looking forward to serving young ladies in the community to help make prom special for everyone. This event will allow them to select a prom dress in a comfortable setting and to be a part of a special night that they otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend.

The campaign is underway, accepting donated prom dresses, shoes and jewelry. Combined Community Services will also be working with local restaurants, salon owners and greenhouses to be able to provide an “all-in-one” stop for young ladies in Kosciusko County.

Tax-deductible monetary donations are being accepted that will help more young women and men be able to attend prom.

To volunteer needed services or to give monetarily towards supporting this event, contact CCS by emailing Sarah at sframe@ccsgives.com.

The Glass Slipper event April 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Combined Community Services building.
