A Republican caucus has been called to fill the position vacated by Mark Hughes on the Mentone Town Council.
Hughes resigned Dec. 27. The caucus is Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. in the town's temporary offices, in the former library building, Broadway Street.
The caucus includes Franklin 1 and Harrison 2 Precinct committeemen. Anyone interested in the office must file a CEB-5 form with GOP Chairman Aaron Rovenstine 72 hours before the caucus.
