In reference to Mr. Lundgren's letter: Have you ever had the opportunity to participate in a caucus? I have been a life-long Democrat, and living in the Warsaw area and being a Democrat, you are at times treated like a second-class citizen.
I now live in the great state of Texas and I experienced my first caucus this spring. After the polls closed, my friends and neighbors met at the caucus site, and we all found our respective precincts, and then we all signed in and the caucus process started. To have neighbors and friends stand up and discuss in a public forum on what a candidate stands for, and then declare your support for a candidate, to me is what the democratic process is all about.
I was fortunate to be nominated, and voted on to be an Obama delegate to the county convention. At the county convention, I was nominated and voted on to represent the county at the state convention also.
