Cat’s Outta The Bag

The evolution of the Democrat Party’s identity has morphed drastically over the years. Thought of as “liberals” for decades, it was around the time Barack Obama exploded onto the political scene that they then started calling themselves “Progressives.” Webster dictionary defines progress as “to move forward” or to “reform,” which begs the question, what is it the Democrats want to reform?
The significant shift to progressives, under the Obama administration, was puzzling but not a shock when we slowly uncovered pieces of his past and the belief system of this mysterious political rock star. We discovered that Obama’s self-proclaimed mentor was Frank Marshall, who himself identified as a Communist as did Obama’s father. Then there was Obama’s church which was lead by a Black Liberation theologian call Jeremiah Wright, who infamously exclaimed during one of his sermons, “It’s not God bless America, it’s G-- D--- America!”
Today, the Democrats, as they drift father left, have now tried to get us used to the identity “Democratic Socialist,” which is itself an oxymoron. The term democratic is diametrically opposed to socialist but it polls better than just plain Socialist so the Democrats, who are wizards at putting nice names on things that have a damaging effect on our lives, use it. The Democrats are running many candidates that profess to be Socialist. The frightening thing is two Socialists had recently won their mayoral races in New York and Seattle. There are two troubling reasons they won. First, the country as a whole has become very dismissive of history and ignorant of basic economics; the second is that social media has consumed our lives.
Back in the 16th century, the idea “the means justify the end” became a common phrase in political philosophy. It had become one of the tenants of Marxism, and Socialist union organizer Saul Alinsky used it as one of the basic rules of the Socialist ideology in his book “Rules for Radicals.” Its meaning is self explanatory; it suggests that you can lie, cheat, steal and anything else necessary to reach your goal. Actually, two Democrat candidates won their gubernatorial offices recently by employing this very method. Both Mikie Sherrill and Abigail Spanberger from New Jersey and Virginia, respectively, had campaigned as moderates, side-stepping questions on taxes and cooperation with federal law enforcement. No sooner they took over as governors they both codified their states sanctuary policies and began the process of raising many of their states’ taxes.
The Democrat Party is now dancing to a different drummer. Their Socialist puppet masters hold the purse strings and have gained the loyalty of even the old school establishment politicians. Yes, the cat’s outta the bag, it’s a funny thing about cats ... they never listen to their owners.
