Cathy's Drapery And The Blind Man Celebrate 20th Anniversary

Posted
Cathy Lundgren started in the custom drapery business in 1989 in Pierceton. She moved the business four years later to Warsaw. Lundgren worked in a custom drapery workroom in the Fort Wayne area prior to starting her own business. When she moved to Warsaw, her husband Dennis took over the blind business full time and took on the name The Blind Man.

They specialize in custom draperies and blinds.

Cathy carries a full line of decorator fabric samples and drapery hardware and trims.

Dennis carries a wide variety of blind samples, including verticals, pleated and cellular shades, wood and faux woods, woven woods, solar shades and shutters.

Cathy constructs almost any style of widow treatment, including pillows, dust ruffles, comforters, roman shades and cornice boards.

The business offers a free in-home consultation, and free estimates. Going to the client's home works the best, so that they are able to select fabrics or blinds with their own furnishings and lighting.

Installation is offered with all window treatments whether it is a drape, or a blind.

And they service what they sell. Dennis is able to repair most types of blinds, but admits some are just not repairable.

Cathy and Dennis recently moved their business, and now have a new phone number, 574-858-2100. Business hours are weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with time away for outside appointments. Weekends are by appointment only.
