Tickets are on sale now for Court Appointed Special Advocates of Kosciusko County’s “Casino Royale” event Saturday. The event is at 7 p.m. at St. Regis Club in Warsaw. The James Bond themed event will feature professional Las Vegas dealers and gaming tables such as blackjack, craps, roulette, texas hold’em and three card poker. Guests will enjoy a Bond-themed costume contest, raffles, 50/50, vintage Bond movies, live jazz, hors d’oeuvres by Viand Chef, a cash bar, silent and live auctions, and $100 in complementary “Funny Money” to use on gaming, select live auction items and raffles. Items to be auctioned include signed memorabilia such as guitars from the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and B.B. King; record albums by the Beatles and Eric Clapton; sheet music from Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift and Jimmy Buffett; movie posters of James Bond, The Godfather, and Star Wars casts; a Muhammad Ali boxing glove; experiences including a VIP trip to Wrigley Field; Supercar driving in Las Vegas; Waikiki vacation for two; fishing getaways to multiple destinations; and many other items from local businesses. Visit CASA of Kosciusko County on Facebook to see auction item previews. Event tickets can be purchased for $50 at www.casachildren.com through Friday at noon. Tickets will also be available at the door for $60. CASA is continuing to encourage event ticket sales, which are currently lower than expected. CASA is hopeful that with attendance from community members, they will reach revenue goals that will enable them to continue helping local abused and neglected children in need of services. Funds raised at this event will provide CASA with the necessary resources to train volunteers to serve as advocates for abused and neglected children, for future volunteer recruitment and general operations. “We are in the process of recruiting and training additional CASA advocates to accommodate the growing demand for compassionate voices in court for children in need throughout our county,” said Jill Serbousek, CASA board president. “This process can be costly and the money raised at ‘Casino Royale’ will go a long way to help local children.”
